A beacon of faith, hope, and transformation since 2021
The Christian Universal Church (CUC) is a dynamic, Christ-centered ministry founded in 2021 under the divine guidance of Evangelist Elias Austin Shellah. Established in Ishalikira Village, Chitipa District (Malawi), the church has since expanded to Zolozolo, Mzuzu City, where it continues to grow as a beacon of faith, hope, and transformation.
The birth of CUC was divinely inspired by the vision of universal salvation—the conviction that Jesus Christ's redemptive power transcends all barriers of tribe, nationality, or social status. As a Spirit-led and Bible-based church, we are committed to proclaiming the full Gospel, fostering spiritual growth, and preparing believers for the Second Coming of Christ.
To preach salvation, disciple believers, and serve communities with compassion, integrity, and excellence.
To be a global ministry that transforms lives spiritually, socially, and economically through the power of the Gospel.
"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14, NIV)
We believe in the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
The Bible is our ultimate guide for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16)
We emphasize purity and obedience to God's Word. (1 Peter 1:15-16)
We are called to evangelize and disciple all nations. (Matthew 28:19-20)
We rely on the Spirit for empowerment, miracles, and spiritual gifts. (Acts 1:8)
We embrace all believers as one body in Christ. (John 17:21)
Beyond spiritual nourishment, CUC is practically engaged in uplifting communities through various initiatives:
Regular crusades, Bible studies, and leadership training to spread the Gospel and nurture believers.
Supporting the needy, orphans, widows, and vulnerable groups with practical assistance and love.
Providing business training, startup capital, and skills development to foster self-reliance.
Promoting education, health awareness, and sustainable livelihoods for community transformation.
The Christian Universal Church is more than a place of worship—it is a family of believers dedicated to spiritual growth, social impact, and global evangelism.
We believe in holistic ministry, addressing both eternal salvation and earthly needs to reflect Christ's love in action. As we advance, we remain steadfast in our mission to "Reach, Teach, and Lift"—bringing heaven's hope to earth's despair.
"By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:35, ESV)
To see every nation, tribe, and tongue united in Christ, transformed by His love, and empowered to fulfill God's eternal purpose.
We envision a global body of believers—diverse yet unified—where the Gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed without barriers, where lives are restored through grace, and where God's Kingdom is advanced in every sphere of society.
"After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb..." (Revelation 7:9, ESV)
To make disciples of all nations, nurture spiritual growth, and demonstrate God's love through service, unity, and truth.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20, ESV)
