Exploring the foundational beliefs and teachings of the Christian Universal Church
Our church stands firmly on these twelve foundational pillars that guide our beliefs, practices, and mission in the world.
We believe and confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, the Savior of the world, the Head of the Church, and the only way to eternal life.
"And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.'" (Matthew 28:18)
We believe that the Holy Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness." (2 Timothy 3:16)
This pillar emphasizes the church's responsibility to spread the gospel worldwide and supporting missions, engaging in cross cultural evangelism.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations..." (Matthew 28:19)
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the operation of spiritual gifts, signs, wonders, and the five-fold ministry.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses..." (Acts 1:8)
The Church is called not only to preach but also to demonstrate the love of Christ through acts of mercy, compassion, and justice.
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink..." (Matthew 25:35)
We believe that prayer, worship, and holiness are the lifeblood of the Church. This pillar calls every believer to live a consecrated life.
"God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." (John 4:24)
We believe that God's love is unconditional and extends to all people (John 3:16). The Christian Universal Church preaches love as the foundation of faith and encourages believers to express love towards all humanity.
Salvation is available to all who call upon the name of Jesus (Romans 10:13). We teach that Christ's sacrifice is for all, and no one is beyond redemption.
The body of Christ is one, and all believers are called to live in unity (John 17:21). The Christian Universal Church works to break denominational barriers and promote spiritual harmony.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the ultimate authority on all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16). The Church follows biblical doctrine above human traditions.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the operation of spiritual gifts, and the empowerment of believers for ministry (Acts 1:8).
The Church is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by spreading the Gospel to all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). Evangelism is a core duty of every believer.
The sacred acts instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ as outward signs of inward grace and powerful expressions of our faith.
Baptism is the sacrament of initiation into the Christian faith. It symbolizes the washing away of sin, a new birth in Christ, and entry into the Body of Christ. It is done with water and in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19)
Holy Communion is the remembrance of Christ's sacrifice. Through bread and wine (or alternatives), believers share in the body and blood of Christ spiritually. It is a continual reminder of His love and the new covenant.
"Do this in remembrance of me." (Luke 22:19)
Marriage is the holy union between a man and a woman, established by God. It reflects the relationship between Christ and the Church and is blessed for love, companionship, and procreation.
"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." (Genesis 2:24)
